This is too exciting. And have been wanting Bravo to do this in my hometown for a while. Wonder if I should move back so I could interview for the show, especially since you don't necessarily have to be married
. I'm kidding about moving back for the show, but I'm happy they are exploring DC as an option.

'Real Housewives of D.C.' in development, Bravo TV says
May 27, 2009
Real Housewives, the Bravo TV franchise that purports to show America how the rich and powerful live in some of the country's hottest hot spots, is coming to Washington, D.C. Although it's still too early to say when actual filming will start - much less when anything might wind up on-air - potential "Housewives" are being interviewed and tested, according to Bravo spokeswoman Johanna Fuentes. "Bravo is scouting the D.C. area to identify the city's alluring and discriminating residents," a Bravo press release promises, "those women who have their pulse on the most important cultural events, political galas, gallery openings and fundraisers in Washington society." And why D.C.? Because it's "the most powerful city in the world," according to the press release. Previous Real Housewives series have spotlighted Orange County, New York, Atlanta and New Jersey.

What a great idea.I think it is so exciting to watch the different dynamics of woman in each state.
1I would love to see how it works with some of the political type families. That would be quite a different dynamic.
2I am so excited for this, it seems like a great move and I am anxious to see who they pick.
Happiness is not, except in very rare cases, that drops into the mouth like a ripe fruit.Happiness must be,for most men and women,an achievement rather than a gift of the gods, and in this achievement, effort, both inward and outward, must play a great part.
3I'm looking forward to a totally different vibe that i think these ladies will provide.
4sounds good! see if they can top New York!
5I was wondering how difficult it might be to find women in DC to do this show especially if they are looking for people who are politically connected. I'm excited to see who they'd pick.
6Political people tend to be big publicity wh*res so probably not as hard as you would think. Plus they surely think that they are better then the people in the other cities and could never come off looking bad. That seems to be the principle that they all believe. That's what makes it great.
7I meant certain political folks might not be as willing to discuss their lives on camera b/c of their positions. When I used to do PR on Capitol Hill, I found that they tend to be a lot more protective about the way they say and do things, more so than in certain other industries. But I don't think it would be hard to find people though - there's always people out there willing and able.
8I remember this being brought up here. Sounds very intriguing!
9I guess it is perception Kelliegrl. I always thought that from the outside it looks like political people are always clamoring for attention. Almost in a any publicity is good publicity kind of way.
10I guess from the inside they are being far more calculated then it seems. That shouldn't surprise me, but in some ways it definitely does.
